Hair loss is about more than hair.
For many people, hair loss affects how they see themselves — and their sense of control over their appearance.
SMP may be a visual option. The consultation helps determine whether it is right for you.
What is SMP?
Scalp micropigmentation creates the appearance of closely shaved hair or greater hair density through the controlled placement of pigment impressions in the scalp.
The technique was developed specifically for the scalp and differs from a conventional decorative tattoo in its purpose, appearance, pigment selection and working method. The hairline is drawn and approved before treatment begins.
The experience varies. Many people describe mild discomfort, but the treatment is not described as pain-free.

Client story
Eirik wanted to regain a sense of control over his hair loss. He considered a hair transplant, but did not want a solution that required ongoing reliance on products or medication.
Before treatment, his main concern was whether SMP would look obvious or artificial. Precision, clear guidance and knowing that the result would be built gradually were important throughout the process.

How it works
Several layers make it possible to control density, tone and transitions. The schedule is adapted to how your skin heals.
We assess hair loss, skin, expectations and the look you want. The hairline, pigment tone and treatment area are planned individually.
Free and without obligationThe hairline and first layer of pigment impressions are established. The result is built gradually and carefully to achieve a natural-looking appearance.
Session 1A new layer adds depth and evenness after the skin has had time to settle.
Usually after 7–10 daysDensity, transitions and details are refined based on how the pigment has settled.
Often about 20 days laterA small refinement may be considered once the result has healed completely.
Often after 1–1.5 monthsIndividual price assessment
*The final price is determined after an individual consultation and depends on the size of the treatment area, the degree of hair loss and the extent of treatment required.

PMU for men is performed in the same way as for women. It consists of two treatments: an initial treatment and a refresh after one month. The third visit is used to evaluate the result. A hairstroke pigmentation technique is used with high-quality pigments that do not change colour over time, but may gradually become lighter with sun exposure.
For alopecia, a single treatment takes approximately five hours. Results last for approximately 3–5 years. I have more than 10 years of experience, four years of art education and have completed more than 25 PMU courses.

Safe practice

Before and after
You receive individual guidance before and after treatment. These are the most important recommendations for good healing and the best possible result.
Trim or shave your hair to approximately 1 mm and gently exfoliate the scalp. Do not exfoliate before treatment 2 or 3.
Avoid alcohol the day before and on the day of treatment.
Do not stop prescription medication on your own. If you take blood thinners or other prescription medicines, contact the prescribing doctor and the clinic before treatment.
Do not wash the scalp. Avoid exercise and activities that cause heavy sweating.
Wash the scalp for the first time with a mild baby shampoo. Wash gently without rubbing or massaging the scalp.
Apply a small amount of coconut oil after washing. Pat it in gently without rubbing.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools and baths. Protect the scalp from direct sunlight with a hat or cap.
Once the skin has healed completely, use SPF 50 whenever the scalp is exposed to the sun.
Treatment may need to be postponed, avoided or medically cleared in situations including:
If you have a medical condition or take prescription medication, contact the clinic before booking. Medical clearance from a doctor may be required. The clinic does not make medical diagnoses.

Reviews
Scalp micropigmentation
★★★★★For me, SMP was about taking back control and no longer thinking about hair loss. After 13 years of worrying about it, I can finally put the subject behind me — and I feel good.
Being bald suits me and runs in my family, but losing my hair in my twenties felt like losing control. I considered a transplant, but I did not want to rely on medication and products for the rest of my life. I tried every natural option I could find, without results. SMP became the solution: a ‘get it and forget it’ approach that lets you move on.
Before I started, I was unsure and afraid that people would notice. After a gentle first session, no one noticed a difference, and the uncertainty disappeared. Oksana made the entire process feel safe from the beginning. She is careful, professional and precise, and genuinely wants every client to be satisfied. Although I was one of her first SMP clients, her many years of experience in precision work are evident.
She explains everything as she works, uses only quality products and has both SMP certification and many other certificates on the wall. That inspires confidence — this is not something just anyone should do.
SMP requires patience. The skin needs time to respond and heal between sessions, and the final result is visible only after two to three months. Oksana is invaluable during that process: she knows how the skin responds and helps you stay calm.
For me, this was more than a treatment. It brought an end to many years of unnecessary thoughts about hair loss. Now I can focus on more important things. Highly recommended.

Questions and answers

SMP is scalp micropigmentation. Small pigment impressions are placed in a controlled way to create the appearance of closely shaved hair or greater hair density.
SMP may be suitable for a receding hairline, a thinning crown, advanced hair loss, certain scars and some forms of thinning hair in women. A consultation determines whether the treatment is suitable for you.
The experience varies. Many people describe mild discomfort and find the treatment less painful than a conventional tattoo. We do not promise that the treatment is pain-free.
A complete result is usually built in several layers and often involves three treatments. The number and scope are assessed individually.
The second treatment often takes place after 7–10 days. The third often takes place approximately 20 days later. Timing may vary depending on the skin and healing.
Longevity and the need for a refresh vary with factors such as skin, sun exposure, lifestyle and aftercare. The need is assessed individually.
Certain scalp scars can be visually softened, including scars after hair transplantation. The outcome depends on the scar type, skin and contrast and must be assessed individually.
For some women with thinning hair and a visible scalp, SMP can create the impression of greater density. The treatment is not suitable for every type of hair loss.
The hairline is planned during the consultation based on face shape, age, existing hair and the desired look. The aim is a balanced, natural-looking shape.
The technique, depth, pigment choice and impression size are adapted to the scalp and a follicle-like appearance. SMP is not designed like a conventional decorative tattoo.
Avoid exercise, cardio and heavy sweating for the first five days, or follow the individual guidance you receive.
The first wash is usually on day five with a mild baby shampoo. Do not rub or massage the scalp forcefully.
The final price is set after an individual consultation and depends on the size of the treatment area, the degree of hair loss and the extent of treatment required. You can request a free estimate.
Active skin conditions, infection, certain illnesses, medication, pregnancy and breastfeeding may mean treatment must be postponed or medically cleared.
The pigment may become lighter over time. A refresh can be considered after the skin and existing result have been assessed.
